Santal is located between the dive sites of PED and Buyuk, in the north of the island of Nusa Penida, near Sampalan, the most important village of Nusa Penida.
The relief of the dive is similar; launching on a shallow coral plateau (0 - 10 m), gradual descent, exploration and ascent on the slope and finally end of the dive and safety stop above the corals.
The dives are done according to the currents which can be relatively strong; The exploration of this site is done only by drifting
Corals, sponges, seafan, nudibranchs and other macro life, angel fish, surgeon fish and turtles, among others, inhabit both the plateau and the slope.
In the blue, "big fish" such as triggerfish, jacks or barracudas also give us the pleasure of a visit, from time to time.
If scuba diving most often take place in the 15 - 20 m zone, it may be interesting to go a little deeper, in the 30 - 40 m zone, in season, to try to meet mola-mola which sometimes frequent This site.
This dive site can be accessible to all levels of divers depending, of course, on the current conditions of the day.
