Located west of Nusa Penida, Batu Bolong designates an arch-shaped rock formation located a few tens of meters from the coast.
In the blue and in the open water, sharks of all species (whale sharks, reef sharks ...) can be observed there, as well as different species of rays (marbled rays, eagle rays ...), jacks, tuna. ..
No predators without prey; the presence of schools of fish (fusilliers, surgeons, coches ...) or even batfish is not exceptional.
On the drop-off and the plateau, corals, sponges, nudibranchs, octopus and reef fish are numerous, even if the current does not always allow you to literally stop to take photos and videos in the best conditions.
Indeed, the current can be strong on this dive site, hence the presence of pelagics.
This site, because of its topography, Scuba Diving requires a negative buoyancy launch and a relatively rapid descent so as not to "pass" by the site and be carried into the blue by the current.
This dive is intended, for safety reasons, for experienced divers who have already done at least one day of diving with us.
Obviously, due to these strong currents and the possible presence of a strong swell, it is not always possible to dive on this site.
NOTE :
All the dives offered are subject to good weather conditions; these can change quickly. Therefore, for security reasons, we reserve the right to cancel dives or to modify and adapt the planned program at any time.
Check our terms & conditions in case of cancellation, termination or for payment terms.
